About

For several years, Dorantes and Garcia-Fons have met and appreciated each other through various projects at festivals. They share common traits: discretion in life, virtuosity, originality, and passion on stage.

Paseo a dos is their first album together, a Mediterranean flamenco and Latin-jazz album.

Thanks to Dorantes, the piano becomes flamenco, and flamenco is enriched with a new sound and new blood. An innovative composer, he leads flamenco toward new horizons, starting with his first album Orobroy. With Sin Muros in 2012, Dorantes breaks walls and prejudices, opens doors and borders, and broadens hearts and smiles.

Renaud Garcia-Fons is one of those musicians who become one with their instrument. Early on, he had the idea to add a fifth string to his "bow" — which traditionally has only four. A virtuoso with an incomparable bow technique, his unique style, immediately recognizable, has earned him worldwide success.

He remains to this day the only double bassist awarded at the Seville Flamenco Biennale for his participation in a Dorantes show.
